London (PRWEB UK) 27 March 2013
The build-up to the public unveiling on March 15 had witnessed more anticipation than other past Samsung smartphones, due in part to the unprecedented success of the Galaxy S3.
Early reports suggest the S4 has built on features of earlier models, rather than revolutionize Samsungs angle. The size is almost exactly the same as the S3, though the screen is slightly larger and increases the resolution to 1080 pixels.
The battery has been increased by 500mAh, allowing increased handling of the greater software capacity. In keeping with the success of the S3s Android Jelly Bean 4.1 operating system, the S4 comes with the updated Jelly Bean 4.2 as standard.
Other specs include the Dual Camera mode, allowing users to capture photo and video footage simultaneously, and Group Play, enabling Galaxy owners who know each other to listen to synchronise music to each other.
As with the release of the S3, it is expected that the new technology will increase competition across the smartphone giants, forcing Apple, HTC and Nexus to again raise the bar.
And as with each new step in technology, outdated technology will be left behind. It seems likely that smartphone recycling will increase in popularity sites like MusicMagpie which make it easier and more affordable to update to the latest model by giving cash in exchange for older models.
