In recognition of Small Business Saturday on November 24, 2012, Looking Glass Photo will be hosting a scavenger hunt and giving away $ 3000 worth of cameras in an effort to encourage shoppers to support local small businesses instead of big box stores during Black Friday weekend.
“Three awesome Fujifilm camera’s and three ways to win!” said Jen Waicukauski of Looking Glass Photo. “But this isn’t just about winning cameras. This is about getting out into our community, visiting local small businesses and showing them your support. You don’t have to buy anything from anyone to win this contest. But goodness knows when you shop local, we all win.”
From 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., shoppers can bring their digital camera to Looking Glass Photo and pick up a scavenger hunt list. The first participant who returns to the store with the photos of every location on the list wins a Fujifilm camera. Shoppers can also win a camera either by bringing their camera full of pictures, along with the completed and checked off list back to Looking Glass before 5:00 p.m., or by completing the Scavenger Hunt and posting their favorite picture from the day to the Looking Glass Photo website’s Community Gallery by Friday, November 30, 2012. The Community Gallery winner will be chosen and announced on Saturday, December 1, 2012.
“If you do choose to do a little holiday shopping while on the hunt chances are good that you could get a nice chunk of holiday shopping done (perhaps even score a special scavenger deal or two) without having to put up with four a.m. mob mentality all while on the path to winning a very cool new camera,” said Ms. Waicukauski.
The scavenger hunt event on Small Business Saturday is part of Looking Glass Photo’s ongoing efforts to bring members of the community together through their camera and camera equipment store.
